✦ About Kayley

Care, responsibility, and a commitment to ongoing learning.

Soul Vibes is grounded in the belief that yoga is for everyone — and that a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive approach is not optional, it is essential.

I acknowledge my presence and express deep gratitude for living and working on the lands known as Turtle Island. I am thankful for the privilege of raising my family here, and for the opportunities for work, rest, and play this land makes possible. I honour the stewards of these lands who came long before us and recognize our shared responsibility to continue caring for this place with respect and love.

I come from both Settler and Métis ancestry and acknowledge my presence as both a visitor and a steward on Treaty 7 territory, the traditional lands of the Blackfoot Confederacy — including the Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai Nations — as well as the Tsuut’ina Nation and the Stoney Nakoda Nations of Goodstoney, Chiniki, and Bearspaw peoples. I also honour my Métis ancestors of the Métis Nation of Alberta, District 4.

I express gratitude for my teachers, my teachers’ teachers, and the roots of yoga that extend back thousands of years to South East Asia. I offer this acknowledgement with humility and a commitment to ongoing learning, care, and responsibility in how I live and work on this land.

Grounded, relational, and body-based.

Soul Vibes was created to support both the beginning and deepening of practice. The work blends yoga, nervous system awareness, and trauma-informed care in a way that is accessible, relational, and grounded.

Rather than focusing on performance, this approach makes space for noticing, regulation, self-understanding, and a different relationship with the body. It is especially supportive for people moving through stress, mental load, burnout, overwhelm, disconnection, or periods of transition.

Core principles
  • Trauma-informed and choice-based
  • Gentle, practical, and non-performative
  • Focused on nervous system regulation and body awareness
  • Appropriate for individuals, groups, and community education
  • Designed to feel welcoming without losing clarity or professionalism

About me

I am currently an Intern Yoga Therapist, while also holding a CYT-500 certification in Trauma Informed Yoga Psychology. In addition I have certifications in Transcending Sexual Trauma Through Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Prenatal Yoga, and Yoga for Kids & Teens.

I take my commitment to providing a trauma informed approach and experience very seriously. My mission with Soul Vibes is to provide a yoga experience that is anti-oppressive, anti-racist, decolonized, and rooted in social justice. This mission is guided through the use of Patanjali’s 8 Limb path as it honours and respects the ancient teachings derived from South Asia.

I truly believe in the benefits of all aspects of yoga as I have gratefully experienced many of them myself. Through this experience a deep rooted passion for sharing these teachings has taken hold and allowed me the privilege to be able to share it with others. I approach this work with care, responsibility and a commitment to ongoing learning.

With gratitude,
Kayley Champagne
